Winter at Lake Titisee? Wonderful! Whether it be on Nordic or alpine boards, in snow or hiking boots. The Black Forest Highlands offer a great stage for your winter sport enjoyment. With more than 60 kilometers of slopes, Liftverbund Feldberg (Lift Network Feldberg) is the largest German ski resort north of the Alps. And of course there’s also - as mentioned in "Summer Delight" - the Badeparadies Schwarzwald spa, at only a 10-minute walk, and the surrounding cities with their cultural and shopping facilities.
And one more thing about the Advent time and Christmas magic in our region: In the nearby Switzerland, St. Nicholas is said to come from the Black Forest. We have not verified this, but it could be true, since here with us the Advent time is really, surreally beautiful. The local Christmas markets are also lovely here and in the nearby cities of Freiburg, Colmar and Basel.
